Auditor Appointed By City Commission " QUALITY by e open-hom- es &?, !K 4 EMPORIA, Kan., April 5, 1929.-Al- l pupils of Weber county high schools will compete in the largest scholarship contest in the worldl April 10, when more than 250,000 high school pupils throughout the United States will participate in the Every Pupil Scholarship contest, sponsored by the Kansas State Teachers college at Emporia. Keith Wahlquist, principal, has ordered 742 tests and record forms which will be used in the contest The Every Pupil contest does not limit competition to a select few, but affords every pupil an opportunity to participate. Group, as well as individual winners, are selected. The contest is conducted by means of tests which are administered to all pupils in the regular classrooms of the respective schools on the specified date. The results in the schools are sent to Emporia, whej-- they are tabulated. The pupils in the highest one per cent are announced as winners. The contest was originated in 1921 by Dr. E. R. Wood, head of the bureau of measurements at the Emporia Teachers college, and is being conducted under his direction again for the fifth consecutive year.
