This is one of the highest honors Weber college husfor any girl, und she who wins the coveted crown knows that she has leen chosen because she is the girl in the college who most nearly symbolizes the spirit of Weber. The quicn is first presented to the students at the Acorn bull, which was given Thursday evening. The ballroom was decorated in, not the customary red and green colors, but in 'the softer rose, silver and blue. Every week a debate is given between four members of the class. On Wednesday the question resolved: That the United States Should Cease to Protect, with armed forces, capital invested in foreign countries, except after formal declaration of war. Ernest1 Nelson and Frank Rose upheld the affirmative of the question and Carina Francis and Lcnore Cazarel were on the negative side. No dc- cision was reached by the judges. On the same day a meeting was called for all those students who are interested in trying for a part in the college drama. Mrs. Stanley, a lady of wide experience, will direct the plays for 1928. The Welter college will present two dramas during the coming year. At the main entrance of the ballroom were grouped many evergreens, representing a forest in winter. At 9:110 p. m. little children came out of the forest scattering roses. Following, clad in silver and white, walked the 1927 Queen of the Aeorn hall, Miss Beth Winkler. Following Miss Winkler came her attendents, among whom were the court fiddlers. Miss Virginia Anderson and Miss Lorraine Skidmore. The queen ascended her silver and white throne dazzling in the light of the numerous spot lights in different parts of the room which were thrown on her. After the presentation the queen dancing was enjoyed until 12 oclock, when the students left fof the holidays. The Aeorn staff was largely responsible for the success of the hall. Miss Manan Read, instructor of Eng- xXjj lish and advisor to the Acorn, was Vi chairman of the ball commit lee, and to her should go the largest share yfl of credit for the success of the D. K.
