That only a small amount of money on the part of the board of county commissioner! of Weber, would be necessary to improve the road from South Fork canyon, over Monte Cristo and connecting with Randolph and Rich county, and on to the Bear Lake district. This is the view of motorists who have made the trip this year. For a number of years the matter has been discussed but no action taken. If the road was put in shape it would not only give a more direct route to the Bear Lake dia trict but would afford the residents of Rich county a more direct con nection with Ogden. This s an important part of the park and s off by itself. It contains a shallow, ement bottom wading pool, a miniature swings, teeters, and other devices. The playground is under shade, and a in charge of an adult attendant. During the past two years a large toboggan slide has been installed in each of the bathing pools, and a water wheel added to the pool equipment. These devices add much to the exhilaration of fresh water bathing. The toboggan slides permit the bather to go up high above the water and descend by means of a coaster toboggan; when the water is reached, the toboggan scoots lightly over the water for some distance. Other important features of the resort include the large dancing pavilion, where every night, except Sunday, "Johnny Rosell and his Lagoon novelty orchestra play the latest dance numbers to large crowds of dance fans.
