Balt Lake, Aug. 7 Mrs, Hattie Harker waa seriously injured Tuesday in n runaway accident in South Temple street She was In her surrey driving east and while crossing the street car tracks near Second East street a west bound Third street car going at a high rate of speed, so witnesses sav, struck the rear wheels of her vehicle, taming it over, and frightening the horse. The animal dashed down South Temple street, dragging Mrs. Harker for nearlv a block. She heroically clung to the reins. When the runaway horse reached Second East street. Mrs. Harker, unable longer to cling to the seat, was hurled from her surrey. She rolled over and over several times aad paisersby hurried to her mid. Mrs. Harker was carried into a nearby house and medical assistance was immediately summoned. After an examination, it was found that no bones were broken, and she was removed to her apartments at No. 33 Kensington flats, when she socn regained consciousness. While no bones wen broken, Mrs. Harker is severely bruised and shocked, and internal Injuries may develop. At n late hour Tuesday night those attending her state that she is resting well. Dr. J. S.
