Tbe people of Huntsville gave evidence that they were wide awake to the opportunity and their offer shows a most public and enterprising spirit. The summer school committee returned to Ogden at 5:3 lat evening and were invited to a banquet at the Weber Club. As the visitors desired to return to Sait Lake on the 7 oclock train, the banquet was rather hurriedly served and only a few toasts given. In conversation with a reporter for this iier Dr. Tanner said that this committee was only advisory and that they were out on a tour of Inspection. They expected to view all the sites now and then make another tour next summer when the tree were in foliage, so that it might be fall before the church had finally decided the question. He said they expected from fifteen hundred to two thousand teachers to attend this school. That they would make of it a second Chatauqua with noted instructors and lecturers from all over America and parts of Europe, making a veritable resort and resting place for students. Wbeu asked if he thought Ogden was in the rare, he replied that outside of transportation, they had seen nothing belter. He expressed himself as being very much pleased with their reception and especially the royal welcome received at Huntsville. The committee from the Weber Club appointed a steering committee consisting of President Shurtliff, F. J. Kiesel and Mayor Glasmann, who formally tendered them a free site and this committee will also represent Ogden before the General Educational Board of the First Presidency of the Church and present her claims for the location.
