Gilford, writing from Springdakv Kane county, under date of the UOth ult., give u few particulars relating to the murder of Mrs. Parker, in addition to those already published. Our correspond ent states that the story told by Dalton, the accused, of his having of the murmet Samuel Parker, dered woman, in the mount ins and been sent by him to fetch his mother is credited by many, and that with Dalton's representation to the re porter of the Miner, that young Parker was afraid to come into ."'priniidale on account of having tr.;pn a sauuie aim got into troume with a girl btdore he left, have elici ted considerable sympathy for the prisoner, from erson9 who ure inclined to accept as true t'ie theory that Parker outraged ami killed Ins own mother. But Mr. Gilford stoutly affirm his dibbelief in this horrible supposition, and deprecates the endeavors made to arouss sympathy for Dalton, whom he believes to be guilty of the fiendish crime which ho seeks to impute to the son ot Ins victim. He says: "Samuel rarker had buried his wife and wa paying attention to the daughter of hi un cle, but being unsuccessful m love, he left the country. He took with him a saddle belonging to his uncle, with whom he had been living for sometime, and as he passed through Toquerville left some property to be transferred in favor of his uncle as payment for the saddle. Last January he came home in the night and staved a few days, noiiiij from one settlement to another in the daytime, and was not afraid to come aain. Samuel and his brother, when they came in. said they had burn robbed of a considerable amount of money they were bringing home to help their mother, stating that they were going out west again to i lake a little raise, and then wi e coming to take their mother to New Mexico, and keep a sheep herd. They left in January and have not been hoard from since. Tvoor three years ago, her son Samuel had turned the road around a piece of land that helaimed, and Jared Dalton came along with a wa gon, and fallowed the old road across the land. To this proceeding Samuel objected, a few words ensued and Dalton lumped upon hamuel and beat him nearly to death, llis mother (Mary E.Parker) interfered and saved her son's life. Thin may be the cause of the murder.' A'etc, THE "CRITTER" NUISANCE PLAIN CITY. IJeautiful Little Town A Sagges-Hofor Road Improvements.
