OXES HIMSELF A young lady, named Mary Vance, died (as was supposed,) very suddenly, in Kingston, Wisconsin. She was of respectable parents who kept a store ia that village; but she lived most ol the time on her father's farm. one and a half miles from there. Last Saturday she was preparing to come come to the ullage to spend the Sab bath, which was her custom, when suddenly she was seized with dizzi ness, tell upon the lounge, and, scarcely uttering a word, died in about halt an hour, in the presence of her mother and rreparatnons were made to bury her last Monday afternoon, and sh was taken to a German church four miles distant, where the funeral services were performed. Up to this time the young lady did not appear like a dead person, though lying motionless in a coffin. After the services, friends o; the parents prevailed upon them not to have her buried till a further change in her appearance should take place, as many thought she was not dead, but in some kind of trance. She has been kept in the church up to this time, watched by her friends and neighbors night and day; but no chaage has taken place yet, except that about every two or three hours purple (or dark) piuk and scarlet spots appear on her face almost alter nately, and disappear again in a short time. There is no offensive smell or any appearance of mortification, al though the church has been kept warm since she was placed there last Her joints are all limber, Monday. and her skin is as loose as that of a person in health. Many eminent physicians have seen her at the church, and hundreds of people from all parts of the coun try see her daily, all of whom pro nounce it a most remarkable case this writing, three p. m., we have heard of no change taking place. .j .1..
