Show HE RIDES A HOBBY HORSE Chief of Pollco Norton Is puzzled to know what to do with an amateur horse jockoy who has been locked up In the cfty ja.II for the past two days. The fellow's name Is Alexander H Hammond nnd ho was arrested In a looming house on Twonty.fifth street, between Lincoln and Grant, Monday afternoon, by Chief Norton and Patrolman Pa-trolman Swanson. From morning to night the fellow, who appears to be a moral and physl cal wrock, rides a broom up and down the outer chamber of the cell and glares at the other prisoners with meaningless eyes. The city officers claim that thoy have called up tho county physician and requested that the man be taken In charge by the county, but no action has been taken up to date Prisoners ln the Jail claim that Hammond was an Inmate of the Salt Lake Jail for three weeks before he came to this city |
