Show Bride 13 and Groom 16 Now There Is a Divorce Greenwich, Conn., Jan. 25. Filing of papers In a suit ror divorce here by Attorneys for 3Irs. Ella 31lller Adams Ad-ams against her husband, Wjirren Adams, disclosed a marriage in New Rochelle, N. Y., In 1901 of a 13-year old girl to a 16-year-old boy. According to the papers in the suit, Adams, before his marriage, was extremely ex-tremely jealous of his 13-year-old fiancee fi-ancee and for this reason the girl's mother suggested that the two marry, but live apart for two years. With the girl dressed In long skirts to make her appear older than she really was, the pair went to New Bochelle and the marriage was performed. They did not live together until 1903. They separated In 1900. rn |
