For 20 years Mr. Hogan was a passenger pas-senger conductor on tho Utah Central Cen-tral and later the Oregon Short Line. He also bore the distinction of bavlng been one of the first express messengers messen-gers on tho Union Pacific. At tho time of his death ho was employed as watchman in tho local railroad jards. Heart disease, from which he had suf fered several attackB In the past few years, Is assigned as the caueo of his death. He was last Beon alive about Tuesday Tues-day noon. It was at this time that ho returned homo from work, claiming claim-ing that he was not feeling in the best of health. Mrs. Hart states that bo changed his clothes and loft tho house for the purpose of casting his vote at the municipal election held on that day. It is supposed that ho returned home late in the afternoon, although Mrs. Hart did not see him enter the house. Mr. Hogan was about (55 jears f ago and had boen a resident of Ogden for the past 10 yoarK. He was one of tho oldest employes, in point of I service, of tho Hnrrlman lint's and had already earned a pension nnd complete retirement from the service bi.t prcfcired to remain at work vo long as his phslcnl condition .permitted. .per-mitted. . Surviving him are two sons and ono daughter, Robert Hogan, of Poca-I Poca-I tello; Patrick Hogan , of Kemmerer, j "Wyo., and an engineer on the O. S. L.; nnd Mrs. Ellen Wright of Pocatello.
