Dooly, widerly known in H t ho state in commercial circles and M having large interests in Ogden and H Salt Lake, died at his'homo In Salt H Iako this morning at an early hour H of rheumatism H Mr. Dooly had suf3red of Theuma- H tjsm for a long time and recently had H traveled qui to extensively for his H health. "While his death was not ox- H pected, yet mombors of tho 'family B did not look for him to pass away at H this time. Ho was surrounded by H most of tho family when the ond camo H a 6:50 o'clock this morning. 1 Cashier Ralph E. Hoag o tho Utah H National bank loft for Salt Lake this H morning as the news of the death of H Mr. Dooly was wired to this city. H Mr. Dooly was tho president of the H bank of which JI. Hoag is cashier and H he has been Identified with, the inetl- tution for many years. He was tho possessor of considerable real estato in Ogden, being the owner of the business busi-ness block on Washington avenuo between be-tween Twenty-fourth and Twenty-fifth Twenty-fifth streets occupied by the T O. O. F. lodge, Elks' lodge and tho YVatson-Flygare YVatson-Flygare hardware store Sir. Dooly, who went to California In 1S63, became identified with tho Wells Fargo & Co. in Sacramento and Truckee, Cal., later coming to Ogden as agent for tho company. While in Ogdon he organized the first bank in this city under the name of John E. Dooly & Co. He was also one of the organizers of tho Utah National bank of Ogden. Frm 1S77 until 1902 Mr. "Dooly was manager of Wclls-Fargo and com-pany-s 'bank in Salt Lake andwas promineut in many largo enterprises throughout the west.
