Show HANDLING OF NEXT FRUIT CROP A deflnlto conclusion arrived at by tho representatives of the Fruit Growers' Grow-ers' association ombraccd In the Utah Fruit Exchange, who met in a convention conven-tion in Ogden yesterday afternoon, was that the fruit crop of ID11 shall be handled by employes of tho exchange ex-change rather than by Jobbers who charge a commission for placing the fruit on the market. The hortlculturalists claim that the' tpsuILs under the commission plan arc not at all satisfactory, and, they state, they aro not certain that the handling of the crop by employes of the exchange will be the thing, but the new plan will be given a trinl during the year. Nothing was done yesterday by way of the reorganisation of tho exchange, ex-change, that being left to a later meeting, when definite plans for the season's campaign will be Inaugurated. Inaugurat-ed. At the meeting Inst evening, the board of managers were instructed to meet at tho office of .1. M Forrlstall, next Saturday and take steps in tho formulation of definite plans for the work of the year, the board to make report of Its deliberations nnd conclusions con-clusions to the various associations in tho stale on or before January 15 Soon after this report Is made, a general gen-eral meeting of the assocIntlouB In tho exchange will bo called and concerted con-certed action on the report will be tnken In the meantime, the various associations associ-ations are to discuss tho plans that their representatives may bring before be-fore tho regular meeting, which will llkoly be hold In the early part of March, with positive Ideas as to what should be done. It is intimated by some that the associations as-sociations should Incorporate under tho laws of the stato and operate as a company In the handling of the great fruit crop of the state. Others think tho same results will be oh-tainod oh-tainod If the fruit growers work in the capacity of an association. The Utah Fruit Exchange Is made up of the fruit growers' associations of Bear River Valley, Brlgham City. Willard. Ogden, Weber county, Clearfield, Clear-field, Centerfield. Salt Lake, Logan. Springville and Granite, the associations associa-tions all having been represented In yesterday's meeting, except Clearfield, Ccntorvlllo and Springville.
