There Is some I dissatisfaction among the politicians I regarding the appointments made by I Sheriff Hnrrison and there may be I 8ome delay in the conflnnatlon of the I same. The appointments that will he made I by Sheriff Harrison today for ilc-I ilc-I putyshlps are Thomas A. De Vine, I the office deputv under former Shcr- iff Barlow B. TJairj Hales was the first deputy of the new administration to lake the' oath of office today. This became necessary nec-essary because the court was In session ses-sion at 2vo'clock and it could not well do business without a clerk. The commissioners com-missioners met soon after 2 o'clock and corflrmcd the appointment of Mr. Hales to a doputyship in the clerk's office, within a few minutos after which the oath of office was administered admin-istered and Harry proceeded to attend to the clerical work in tho district court, in his usual way. |
