In an Interview, Inter-view, denied that be was connected with any revolutionary movement in Haytl. Firmin left his post in London without notifying the Haytlan government gov-ernment of his Intention and embarked embark-ed in Bordeaux on December 28 on tho steamship Montreal, arriving here on Sunday On learning that Firmin had left London, General Simon, the Haytlau president, issued a letter, addressed to tho commanders of the army and to public officials, branding the general gen-eral as a traitor to his duties and to his friends, and ordering that he be prevented from landing in Haytl. General Firmin. who Jh suffcrlug from a throat affliction, declares ho has no knowledge of any revolutionary movement agalnbt the Haytlan government gov-ernment and that he left there on the advice of his physician, who told him not to pass the winter there.
