Show UNION EABOR IS BACK OF A MERCANTILE BUSINESS TO BE M ESTABLISHED IN OGDEN I The entrance of union labor Into mercantile business has been made in this city through the organization of tho union men's store for OKden, which was completed this morning b the filing of the articles of incorpor ation with the. county clerk The name of the company is "The Mutual Mercantile Company," and is capitalized capital-ized at $20,000. with shares of the par value of $5 each. The stockholders at the time of incorporation number 250 union men and women, representing represent-ing every' unionized craft in the city No more than 20 shares will be issued is-sued to one stockholder and the hold-of hold-of 20 shares has one vote as has the man or woman owning one share of the stock. The greater portion of the stockholders have but one share. The objects of the company are to conduct con-duct a general mercantile business for the sale of goods and wares. The board of directors and the offi cers are as follows John Quinn, presidenl . W. L Moore, first rici president; Henry "W Beekeit, Sr . second vice president, S H. Tracy, treasurer; G W Keilog. secretary'; A. C. Emerson, J P. Byrnes, E. F. Frederick Fred-erick and Francis Wilde. The manacer of the store will prob ably be elected from the large list of applicants filed with tbe officers. I is stated that there are several sites under consideration. Among the number being some large stores on Washington avenue and in lhe busl- he city. The first ill siore of the company will handle groceries and staple articles and later the company will probably establish a meat market. The matter of the es-tablishment es-tablishment of a laundry by the union men of the city has been talked of in connection with the present company.
