Show oo CUD BOOSTS FOR ill GAME That the peoplo of Garland, Utah, are alive to the commercial possibilities possibili-ties of a basoball game, such as ha3 been put up by the home team against the Utah Power & Light company and Utamade teams of Ogden, thus far this season, was made evident to Manager Man-ager J. W. O'Brien of the "Power" nine this morning. Tho evidence was a poster announcing the game to be played at Garland tomorrow afternoon between the Utah Light & Power and Garland teams, copies of which have been scattered throughout the Box-elder Box-elder county communities tributary to Garland. The players who will leave for Garland Gar-land tomorrow at 11:30 a. m., in care of Captain George Wessler, are Duncan, Dun-can, catcher; Shipley, Heywood and Greenwell, pitchers; Cole, Vandiver and Butterfield, infieldors, and Myers, McStewart, "Brig" Shupo and Carllle, outfielders. The same teams will play at Garland Gar-land Sunday afternoon and the Ogden men will return home Sunday night. Tho work of recovering the bleachers bleach-ers at Glenwood park to shield the fans from the sun next Sunday, when the Brigham City and Utamade teams will cross bats on the local field, is progressing satisfactorily. Tho Utamades will play the Brig-ham Brig-ham City team at Brigham City tomorrow. |
