Show oo KINDERGARTEN HAD TO BE CLOSED TO MANY CHILDREN The first reports of the first week's enrollment in the city schools was re oelved at the office of the board ot education this morning, and total 5612 students, which is considered by Su pcrintendent J. M. Mills to be an exceptionally ex-ceptionally good showing for the first week. Quite a number of kindergarten children 5 years of age and under had to forego the opportunity of entering en-tering school on account of the tak Ing up of so much more room this year by the older children. Taking Into consideration the fact that the kindergarten children were rounted iu the first week's enrollment last year, the present enrollment shows an appreciable Increase. |
