The Ogden Rapid Transit began the operation of cars on a 4S-minute schedule at an early hour this morn ing and before 9 o'clock it was neces v sary to attach two trailers to each motor car in order to accommodate all the crowds From f o'clock until un-til late this afternoon the three cars in each train were filled to capacity, most of the passengers being Ogden residents Aside from the great number who rode over the Rapid Transit line, hundreds hun-dreds went in autos, and there were still other hundreds who road over the Oregon Short Line. The Bamberger electric line handled han-dled large crowds from Salt Lake, and Davis counties It is estimated that from 800 to 1000 Ogden people are spending the day In Brigham. Two Oregon Short Line Peach day special trains carried approximately 1000 people to Brigham City this morning. The excursionists were about evenly divided from Salt Lake and from the intermediate towns be tween Salt Lake and Ogden. Among the speakers who addressed the people at the park at noon were Mayor W, T. Davis, who welcomed the visitors; Governor William Spry Judge D. N. Straup of the supreme, court, and William Glasmann of Ogden Og-den The two last named were called call-ed to the stand by the committee and prevailed upon to give impromptu talks. On the speakers' stand, anion others were Judge McCarty of the supreme court, and Charles F Mid dleton of Ogden. The program this morning was as follows: 9 a m, to 3 p. in.
