Show oo GEORGE A. EATON DEAD OE SCHOOLS Salt Lake, Sept. 9. By action of the Salt Lake board of education last nlRht. George A. Eaton Is given the title and position of supervising prin cipal of the hUh school department of the Salt Lake public schools. L. M. j Gillllan is made principal of the ! technical high school and Ira D Travis is made principal of the Salt Lake high school East. This is mostly change In titles, but carries a little more salary for Principals Prin-cipals Gillllan and Tra Is. Formerly Mr Eaton was principal of the high school with Mr. Gillllan and Mr. Travis Trav-is as vice principals. Now Mr. Eaton Is given the newly created position of supervising principal of high school work and Mr Gillllan and Mr. Travis are made principals of individual high schools instead of vice principals. The committee of the whole also decided to pay Principal Eaton and Supervisor G. N Child and Llsbeth M. Qualtrough for two weeks services during acation period. This was opposed op-posed by President W. J. Barrette. but the board approved the action of tho committee by a vote of 7 to 1. Edwin G Davis In the commercial j department of the high school and Clifton G. Busby as instructor In biology bi-ology were employed. Mr. Busby Is now principal of tho high school at I Henrietta, Okla. Elizabeth Fitzgerald was promoted to the high school department de-partment as teacher Eleanor Prout, DeBorah Steelman and Caddie Ache-son Ache-son were employed as teachers. Plans of F. D. Rutherford for the new grade school on the Hamilton site were approved and the commit-1 tee on buildings and grounds was au-1 thorized to call for competitive plans, for the heating and ventilating sys-1 tern George M.
