Show ENGLISH ARE OUT OF CUP CONTEST! Henley on Thames, July 2. Not an English crew remained in the contest for the Grand Challenge cup, the chief event of the Royal regatta, after the rowing of today's four heats. The three tran -Atlantic eights, the Uni on Boat flub of Boston. Harvard university uni-versity second crew, and Winnipeg Canada, as well as the Mayence Rowing Row-ing club of Germany, were all victorious vic-torious over their English opponents. In tomorrow's semi-finals, Harvard is pitted against Winnipeg and Boston Bos-ton against Mayence. The (idrman's time of 7 minutes 22 seconds was the best recorded, bcaiiug Harvard's performance by 15 seconds |
