STARTLING DEVELOPMENTS. J. L. Wallace arose and explained that he had made a discovery, lie had found out what the Liberal party was good for. He had just been talking with a man, J. A. Stephens, who signed the republican roll and who now said he would vote the liberal ticket and be had said that if a man wanted office in Weber county he must belong to the Liberal party. (Great enthusiasm.) Cannon was called on for a speech and declared that after the experience of the democratic convention he regarded speech making as an infernally dangerous thing. He believed that the first fight of the republican party was AGAINST THE LIBERAL PARTY and second against the democrats. He had long been tired of the old fight in Utah and wanted a change. The party campaign committee needs money. If we can get a little money ahead we will hire Rhodes to stump the county for the Democratic party. (Cheers.) The convention then adjourned with cheers for the success of republicanism in Weber county. For Sale August 1st. The Ogden Fbeemait Publishing House and Grounds, including the lot 24x80 feet, and brick building, will be sold at private sale under orders of the probate court, on August first. Bids must be handed into the law office of Breeden 4 Gunnell, 2408 Washington avenue, between now and August first. This is choice "inside" property, being the same now occupied by Alfred H. Nelson. There are but two chief crossings of Washington avenue; one is at Twenty-fourt- h and the other at Twenty-fiftis street; and of the two, Twenty-fourt- h the better because the City Hall square knocks out the best part of Twenty-fifttwo-stor- y h h. This property, by expending a little money for repairs, will bring a rental per cent, on equivalent to twenty-fivthe investment.
