It was rumored in theatrical circles today that Mrs. Leslie Carter would terminate her western starring tour in Denver in about three weeks and return to New York. From the first Mrs. Carter has had troubles about money matters, and it is said that her engagement at the Broadway theater was not a financial success. She then transferred all her title and right to the boenery and costumes of "lbe Lglv Duckling" to David Belasco, who trained her for the stage, and he has been acting as her manager on her western trip. Now it is reported that she lost money almost everywhere except at Chicago recently, and will disband her company. Mrs, Carter haa booked some time for next season. Belasou has been coaching her for the place in which she expects to appear.
