One of these, Chevalier Ditniel Boone, en- xtobled by the sultan of Turkey, has just returned to America after years of wandering in many lauds Europe, Asia and Africa. lie brings with him for exhibition a number of traiued lions, every one of which he caught aud tamed with his own hands. In like manner his mighty ancestor, the old origiual Daniel Boone, fought with bears, Indians and wildcats in the untrodden forests of Kentucky. Mention has lately been made of another descendant of Boone, a great grandson, Thomas F. Warner, who died in Kansas City. The pioneering blood was strong in Mr. Warner, too. He was profoundly interested in the development of northern Missouri and identified with it most of his life. He started the first packet line on tha Mississippi river. One other enterprise he pioneered, too, and that was tha great over land stage route so closely connected with the name of Ben Holliday.
