But sisoe there is no allegation that the present city government is not honest, the declaration fails to ahow any reason for the founding of a new party. The second declaration ia simply a glaring piece of toadyism to labor union The same pharisaical organiationa. assumption that runs through this paragraph that charao terizea the entire document the implication being that the new party alone las the labor interests at heart The liberal party is the party that has made Salt Lake City and Ogden the home of thousands of prosperous laboring men. It don't want to "antagonize or injure the Lib-Arparty in the pursuit of proper and honest political powers." Oh, no! This pretty and humorous play will be at the Grand nest Monday and Tuesday nights. It has in all probability delighted more people than any stage work ever given to tbe public. It wns first brought, out in New York several years ago and made its debut at the famous Madison Square theatre. Its run at this house was unprecedented. It filled more weeks than was at first intended, and was only withdrawn then to make room for a new work that had been previously contracted in this great producing pluy house. ' It has constantly been presented in all the leading theaters since in all parts of America. It was seen here several years ago and today is better and more attractive than ever. Mr. Chas. Frohman has surrounded the "stage tutor" with the finest company that has rendered the play in several years, securing many of the orignal cast, several of whom have been used in later productions.QThe comedy itself is one of the quaintest most original m ideas and society characters that were ever created. Mr. Gillette, the author, is gifted with that pe culiar instinct that faithfully portrays an individual in the light that otherwise would be indescribable, and the characters are so uniformly funny and yet so natural that the looker-o- n is soon in warm sympathy with the actors, BDd every happy surprise is met with the most enthusiastic greeting. Toe laugns become boisterous, and the audience even resorts to wild yells. Three acts of this ludicrous fun is en joyment enough for a season, yet the "Private Secretary" would be a welcome visitor several times a year. Choice Breakfast Bacon, 11c per lb.
