Show Commissioners Appoint Attorney At the regular weekly meeting of the Cache County Commissioners Commis-sioners held Wednesday, the appointment ap-pointment of Attorney Harvey A. Sjostrom was made to fill t he office of county attorney made vacant by the absence of George D. Preston, Colonel in the U. S. Army. Colonel Preston was elected to the office in the November election, elec-tion, succeeding L. Tom Perry, Republican, who has held the position po-sition for the past two years. Attorney M. C. Harris filed the oath of office, for Colonel Preston. Pres-ton. The commissioners declared the position vacant and then made the oppointment. If Colonel Col-onel Preston arrives home before the two-vear term exDires he will replace Attorney Sjostrom. ! When Colonel Preston left for service, he was First District Attorney. At-torney. Mi-. Sjostrom was appointed ap-pointed to complete Preston's unexpired un-expired term in that capacity. He now holds the county attorney attor-ney office for Colonel Preston. In commenting on the new ap-pointment ap-pointment H.. Ray Pond, chairman chair-man of the county board of commissioners, com-missioners, expressed appreciation for the services of Attorney Perry with the following statement: "Attorney Perry leaves the position po-sition with the full confidence and respct of the commission. As legal adviser, he has accepted assignments immediately and dispatched dis-patched them with thoroughness. His ?work is all up. to date." |
