Show State SCS Head Accepts Post In Honduras Graham S. Quate, head of the U. S. Soil Conservation service in Utah since the agency started in 1935, has resigned to accept a position po-sition as production specialist with the Institute of Inter-American affairs. af-fairs. Mr. Quate left Thursday for Tegucigalpa, Honduras, in Central America, where he will cooperate with government agencies in efforts ef-forts to increase production of crops needed in - the war effort. Ray Walker, assistant state conservationist con-servationist under Mr. Quate, has been named acting state conservationist conser-vationist by Cyril Luker, regional conservationist of Albuquerque, N. M. State coordinator of the SCS from 1935 until last June, Mr. Quate was named state conservationist conserva-tionist when the position of coordinator coor-dinator was abolished and area offices of-fices at Salt Lake City, Cedar City and .Price were combined into the Logan headquarters. |
