Show OBITUARIES Daniel David Buttars Daniel David Buttars, 59, pro. minent Lewiston farmer and livestock live-stock man, died suddenly Wednesday Wed-nesday about 5:30 p. ' m. at the family home of a heart attack. He was born November 20, 1885 in Clarkston, a son of Daniel David Da-vid and Emma Gover Buttars. Mr. Buttars was educated in Cache county schools and moved to Lewiston Lew-iston in 1906 where he has lived since. Prominent in agricultural circles, cir-cles, he worked four years for the West Cache Sugar company and then with the Amalgamated Sugar Su-gar Company for 14 years. He was an official of the Cub River Irrigation Company and was a Lc -is ton city councilman two terms. A member of the L D S church, he was a high priest in Benson stake and was clerk of the Lew iston Third ward seven years. Mr. Buttars also was Superintendent of the Sunday school and president presi-dent of the YMMIA. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Mar-garet K. Buttars; six sons and three daughters, Philo Ormes, D. Omer, Shevwin and Rolland Buttars, But-tars, Lewiston; Wendell D. But. tars, in the army at Fort Knox, Ky., and Ted Buttars, with the naval forces at sea; Mrs. Margaret Mar-garet Vella Brownson, Lewiston; Mrs. Ella Swedberg, Redwood City Calif.; and Mrs. Vada Smith, Og-den, Og-den, and eight grandchildren, including in-cluding a grandson, Sharell Brown, who has made his home with Mr. Buttars. He also is survived by the following fol-lowing brothers and sisters: Mel-vin Mel-vin Buttars, Cornish; Orson Buttars, But-tars, Lewiston; Grover and Ira Buttars, Burley, Ida.; Wallace Buttars, Mrs. Margaret Jardine and Mrs. Maybell Griffith, Clarkston; Clark-ston; Mrs. Hattie Hodges, Garland; Gar-land; and Mrs. Achilious Archibald, Clarkston. |
