Show Cache Defense Leaders Will Attend Conflab Civilian Defense leaders of Cache and Logan Council of Defense, together to-gether with more than 100 others from all sections of the state will outline their 1943 program of cooperation co-operation in all phases of the war effort at a state session to be held in Salt Lake City March 13 and 14, Gus P. Backman, executive vice-chairman of the State Council Coun-cil of Defense, announced today. Invited to the sessions are the i county or local council chairman, as leader of all" activities; the commander of the county or local council citizens' defense corps, which is concerned only with air raid, bombing, sabotage and disaster dis-aster work; and the county chairman chair-man of war services, hi charge of civilian defense cooperation with all such war programs as stamp and bond sales, salvage, cleanup campaigns, rationing assistance, nutrition, child care and welfare programs. Programs to be discussed will include gas protection, blackouts, first aid, rescue, demolition, and protection against sabotage in the Protective Section; and nutirtion, child welfare, recreation, consumers' consum-ers' interests, bond and stamps, salvage, rationing, victory gardens in the War Service Sections. Sessions Ses-sions begin at 9:30 A. M. Satur-. Satur-. day in the Newhouse Hotel, and I close at 4 p. m. on Sunday. |
