Show Petition Sheets Out Sheets which will be circulated by five chain store companies for signatures of voters in an effort to force the chain store tax law to a vote of the people in the fall of 1912 were being delivered Tuesday by Secretary of State E. E. Monson, under whose direction direc-tion they were printed. If the names of 24,682 voters one- tenth of the total number voting ! for governor at the last election are obtained on the petitions, the tax law will be suspended 1 until it is submitted to a vote of " the people at the next general " election In the fall of 1942. |
