Show 1 4 THEp Page11 Wednesday, September 20, 1978 Ride-A-Long In Deer Valley The 3rd Annual March of Dimes Ride-A-Long will be held Saturday, September 30, 1978, according to Gary Swensen, Chairman of the Ride-A-Long committee. Jerry Pimm, University of Utah Basketball Coach will be the Honorary Chairman and will lead the Ride. Last year's Ride drew approximately approxi-mately 75 riders and Ride officials are hoping to double the number of participants this year with the Ride moving to Park City. All proceeds from this event go to the March of Dimes to assist in the support of numerous research grants and medical services aimed at the prevention of birth defects. Persons planning on participating parti-cipating in the ride will gather at Deer Valley in Park City at 9:00 a.m. for registration and a free continental breakfast. The ride will take the. horsemen up through the Park City hills with their breathtaking scenery. Approximately 10 miles into the ride a Mid-Trail Mid-Trail Bar-B-Que will be served to all of the riders. After the meal, riders will reassemble for the finish and a parade down Park City's Main Street. An entry fee of a minimum $40.00 will admit adult participants parti-cipants in the Ride while those riders 17 and under will be assessed a minimum of $25.00. All money must be turned in at registration on Saturday morning. This fee can be obtained through contributions from friends, relatives, companies and businessmen. Scott Matheson will be visiting Park City with his wife Norma this Friday. The purpose of the governor's visit is to familiarize himself with the Summit County area. The governor's visit will consist of the following itinerary: 9:00 a.m. Arrival at City Hall; meeting with' City Council.
