Brent Gold has appealed to the Park City Council a decision rendered by the planning commission on his proposed rental housing complex. Gold will appear before the council Thursday night. i? ' On March 17, the commission com-mission approved plans for lour four-plex units to be located on Daly Avenue under the condition that each of the buildings be equipped with fire prevention sprinkler systems. Gold had proposed to install the sprinklers in only the two rear buildings. The commission argued that the sprinklers were not only needed in the rear buildings which lack access for fire fighting equipment but also in the two front buildings in order to protect adjacent property. In a letter to the city council, Gold stated, "As the proposed buildings are not of high density proportions; are of the same height dimensions dimen-sions or smaller than numerous recent constructions; con-structions; are smaller in height than buildings in a major development recently approved by the Planning Commission; and are well within the provisions of the Park City Zoning ordinance and the fire protection requirements of the Uniform Building code, it becomes patently obvious that the Planning Commission's decision . is not only prejudicial and highly discriminatory ... but is also without factual precedent or legal basis." !
