Rugby banquet The Park City Rugby Football Club will hold its annual banquet on Thursday, Dec. 2, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Black Pearl. All current and former members, plus all social members in good standing are invited. Cost is $5 per person if all dues and other debts are paid. ( 122) Free cheese and butter Free cheese and butter for senior citizens, ages 60 and above, will be given out Wednesday, Dec. 1 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Thursday, Dec. 2 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Senior Citizens' Center, 1361 Norfolk Ave. (122) KPCW Air Band Contest Win $100 acting out your favorite song, using your choice of costumes and prop for instruments. The first KPCW "Air Band Contest" begins Wednesday night, Nov. 24, at the Black Pearl. There will be a one dollar cover charge which goes directly to KPCW. The winning performance receives $100. There will be a contest every Wednesday night, so get your air band together, help out your radio station and have a ball. Bring your music in on cassette, eight track or L.P. Please cue tapes in advance. Also bring a short written introduction of your band and the material you'll be performing for announcing an-nouncing purposes. (1124) Benefit for the Egyptian A benefit for the Egyptian Theatre, "A Taste of Turkey and a Glimpse of Greece," will be held Sunday, Dec. 5 at 7:30 p.m. This evening of entertainment will include a performance perfor-mance by the local belly-dance group, "Arabian Daze," as well as wine, Greek specialties, and a slide presentation. Must have high tolerance for tedium or large supply of No Doz. Understanding the lingo of planning, historic preservation, sewage, education, financing or governmental entities, most helpful. ( tfn) Postal Directory deadline A(fldl SdDDM(B (CflSISS Don't miss out on being listed in the 1983 Park City Postal Directory. Deadline for submitting your information is Nov. 30. Listing forms and collection boxes are available at both post offices, the Kimball Art Center and the Park City Library. Forms may also be mailed to RAYEAD, Star Route, Box 8, Park City, Utah, 84060. The Postal Directory was first published three years ago when the Post Office announced it would be unable to deliver mail without the correct P.O. number. As the Post Office is also forbidden to provide box numbers, much mail was returned to the senders. With the growth of the city, the problem is escalating. Your help in submitting listing information infor-mation will help alleviate these problems. All Park City postal patrons will receive one free copy of the directory. Additional copies may be ordered at $2 each. The book is scheduled for publication in January. (1125) Community Clinic is open The Park City Community Clinic, a nonprofit family planning plan-ning program, remains open for patient services Monday through Friday from 9 to 5 p.m. Our federal government funding fun-ding has been extended and we will remain open into November. Novem-ber. We continue to offer family planning services, venereal disease screening, PAP tests, counseling and education, pregnancy testing, contraceptive supplies, and women's health care. The fees for service are reasonable and based on a sliding income fee scale. No one will be denied use of the clinic and all services are confidential. For an appointment, please call 649-5989. (TFN) Wanted: Big BrothersSisters Would you like to be a V.I.P.? Big Brothers and Big Sisters are needed to be very important people in the life of boys and girls who need special friends. Big Brothers and Sisters need to be able to spend a few hours a week with their little brothers or sisters. Training and ongoing support and supervision super-vision are provided. Following the recent opening of the Park City Big BrotherBig Sister office, there have been numerous requests for Big Brothers and Sisters. Without adult volunteers, volun-teers, the program will not be able to meet the needs of any of the nearly 250 boys and girls of single parent families living in Summit and Wasatch counties who could benefit from a special friend. (tfn) The Art of Christmas Present Christmas gifts created by many western artists fill the Kimball Art Center's Main and Little Galleries. The Art of Christmas Present exhibit will continue until Dec. 9. Then the exhibit will move to the Little Gallery. The exhibit includes paintings, prints, ceramics and stained glass. There is a wide variety of Christmas stockings and tree ornaments. Jewelry, scarves and quilts are only samples of the crafts on display. There are gifts in all price ranges. Purchases may be taken from the show at time of sale. The Art of Christmas Present is sponsored by Bob and Barbara Wilson of Park City Furniture. (tfn) Toys for Tots Due to citizen request, the Park City Fire Department, in conjunction with the Marine Corps Reserve, will have barrels set up inside the station on Park Avenue for donated Toys for Tots. Toys, if wrapped, should be marked for either boy or girl and also with the age of the child who should receive the toy. (1125) Preschool vision testing Parleys Park Elementary School will be giving preschool vision tests on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 1982, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the multi-purpose room. Children ages three to five are encouraged en-couraged to attend. The vision test is vitally important for early detection of Amblyopia or "lazy eye," as well as other visual problems. Early detection can help your child be ready for school, as well as preventing blindness. DCE winter schedule The University of Utah's Division of Continuing Education has announced its schedule for winter classes at the Kimball Art Center. The schedule has been expanded slightly over fall quarter offerings. Winter quarter classes include Math 101 (intermediate algebra) ; Math 105 (college algebra) ; English 325 (introduction (introduc-tion to Shakespeare); Psychology 101 (introduction to Psychology); English 101 (introduction to expository writing); English 245 (introduction to imaginative writing); Spanish 101 and 102 (first year Spanish); Recreation and Leisure 194 (volunteerism); and Modern Dance 391 (volun-teerism (volun-teerism in the fine arts). In addition to these courses, the Division of Continuing Education can offer courses to interested groups. During fall quarter, for example, a group of educators requested a course geared to the use of the computer in the classroom. This course is currently being held at the Treasure Mountain Middle Mid-dle School. According to Alan Seko, associate programmer for DCE in Park City, virtually any University course can be brought to Park City if a large enough group requests it.
