Show 1 ILBttttBns ts TtBaB EdlnitdDiP Why is there wind? Editor: Did you ever wonder why the wind came about? Well, to spread seeds. To spread them so flowers, grass and trees will grow. Just to make the world beautiful! But as I look out my window, I don't see any seeds spreading, instead I see trash. I see a Coke can rolling down the street, and I see an old McDonalds bag doing loop to loops along side a curve. There's also a newspaper separating Hospital from 1 revocation or suspension of the license, along with prohibition or restriction of patient admissions. Said Kusiak, "To build everything right would almost require new facilities." Proper ventilation, for instance, would in effect require a new area in the hospital, he said. "There's no place now to get the clean air from," he said. Lee Shaw said the hospital has known for a long time it had to remodel. "I walked through the facility with (former administrator) Mike Shaw as he talked about what could be done," said Shaw. "There are no surprises for them in this new letter." A state 1981 inspection, also called for remodeling, and a deadline of January 1982 was set to make repairs. Former hospital head Mike Shaw told Hawaii vacation for two!! . , H 'ft if' NAME . Around the trash bin there's a lot of small pieces of paper flying around. The wind must have come about to blow around trash, because I don't see any seeds. Maybe tomorrow I'll go out and clean up all this trash, that is if it hasn't blown all away. Not only that, I'm going to help prevent it from coming back. That's right, because the next time I open my car door and a gum wrapper falls out, well I'm going to pick it up! And the next time my over flowing trash bag over flows on The Newspaper that tight finances was the reason then for missing that deadline. Kusiak said he had no knowledge of past history. "I know that Advanced Health did not make a commitment to atone for forty years of past sins at the hospital." He said a great deal of discussion with the state on design problems will be needed. "The give-and-take between be-tween us will be very time-consuming," he added. AHS had submitted a basic plan (schematic) for remodeling, but the state has asked for further changes, such as better separation between sterile and non-sterile areas, and between departments in the surgical suite. Kathy Vandegrift Just Concerned response to the state's request for properly documented and supervised hospital procedure. The commission, acting as the Hospital Board, approved a procedure for the infection control committee, chaired by Joan Burton. Dr. Wayne Bosworth was named the hospital's chief of staff. Ruth Richens was named as coordinator for a quality assurance program. Dr. Bosworth said the hospital's quality control had not been deficient, just undocumented. "We may not have had something written up, but we had chart reviews every month and utilization review." Kusiak said the facility was professionally profes-sionally run. "This is not a make-believe hospital," hospi-tal," said Kusiak. He said Advanced Health would like to continue its management under a possible new contract. m REALTOR njn j Park City's Finest Restaurant Open nightly 6:00-11:00 Sunday Brunch 11:00-2:00 Live Entertainment Friday & Saturday Tom Distad Reservations Please 649-7177 Available for Private Parties of 20 or more.
