Over the past 52 years, the Globetrotters have become synonymous with basketball magic and their brand of on-court on-court antics has become an American tradition a tradition enjoyed by the people of 97 countries where the magicians of basketball have performed. In this their 53rd season, the Globetrofters will travel over 75,000 liles, bringing them even more intimate contact with the world's funny fun-ny bone. As part of that 75,000 mile trek, the Trotters and their variety of half-time :-, attractions, will be in Salt ? Lake City on January 15 for . a 7:30 p.m. game at the Salt Palace. . ; Tickets for the Salt Lake game are $4.00, $5,00 and $7.00 and are availab at the I Salt Palace Box Office and at all ZCMI stores. "There is no question that today the Globetrotters are the world's greatest family entertainment," says Globetrotter president, Stan Greeson. And from the attendance at-tendance records set by the Trotters in all parts of the world, there seems to be no one who can argue the claim. The Globetrotters have to their credit the record for the largest crowd ever to watch an outdoor basketball game from an appearance in Berlin in 1951 that drew over 75,000 people. More recently, they set the indoor attendance attendan-ce record when more than 30,000 fans welcomed the Trotters to the Louisiana Superdome. Who, other than the Harlem Globetrotters, could set worldwide attendance records and be welcomed as the, home team in 97 countries? coun-tries?
