A final and apparently stringless go-ahead was green-flagged last Tueaday night by the Planning Commission, allowing allow-ing Bill Coleman, acting on behalf of Califomian Bob Johnston, owner and overall honcho of the project, to begin erecting from the ground up a simulated Victorian apartment-mini- mall complex. 1 Ground is now scheduled to be broken, Mr. Coleman told us, sometime in the next couple weeks and, glancing at the calendar and bundled up humans everywhere, it would be wise, lest they care to use jackhammers and ice picks. The land upon which they will build, which was another Prescott story entirely, entir-ely, is at the bottom of Main Street across from Skyline between the Spagetteri and Timberhaus. ' Mr. Johnston shortly now will travel from just south of the Bay area to our town, giving up mild . California winter for a (we hope) snowy but not too chilly one overseeing the construction of the at least blueprint- beautiful building pictured here. f 4 The picture more or . less tells the story. We at the Newspaper applaud Mr. Johnston's guts to be the first, and especially his foresight which indicates that Main Street will indeed, pumped with new preservation-conscious blood, remain Main Street and a Main attraction in this resort town. Says Four Seasons Could Help Park City Park City Ski Corp. President Presi-dent Ray Johnson said Monday he felt the proposed Four Seasons ski resort, to be located near Provo, Utah, could benefit Park City and other Utah ski resorts. "If they do a proper job, it will be helpful to all skiing in Utah," Johnson said. "There's room for more first class areas in this state and with more first class ski areas more people will come to Utah and intermingle among the resorts," he added. "A well-conceived ski resort will help sell skiing in Utah." " Wilderness Associates, developers of the Four Seasons resort slated for construction on 4,500 acres in the Uinta National Forest, has received tentative , approval ap-proval from the U.S. Forest Service. The project has an estimated estimat-ed price tag of between $90 million and $100 million and is currently undergoing a 30-day waiting period for public consideration. considera-tion. Plans call for a 'funicular railway to provide transportation transpor-tation up the mountain, a cultural village at the base of the mountain and four other villages. Four Seasons would accomodate acco-modate an eventual $000 skiers per day but this capacity would not,, be reached for 12 years said 4ai Wilderness Assocy ;; Visa President .
