Paxman, enters upon the du- ties of his office possessing all the qualifications necessary for the important trust of handling the countys money. His reputation for honesty is of the highest, and he is an efficient and careful book- -- for a second term as county recorder last fall by a very flattering vote, was born in 1872. He received his education in the schools here, and attended a business college in Salt Lake for lome time. In 1895-9- 6 he was county clerk, and made a gool officer then. Mr- Henroid was born in Nephi in 1861, and received his education in the schools here. He was first elected county sheriff about 20 years ago, in 1890, and served one term. He moved to Gureka in 1891, and at the incorporation of Eureka City he was its first marshal, serving in -- Gus-trie- j keeper. C. Whitmore, Commissioner. He received his education in the schools here, and in the Juab Stake academy, where he specialized on book keeping. He early entered the office of the Excelsior Mercantile Co. where for the last 14 years he has been the secretary and book keeper. He is also secretary of the Juab Development Co. ; is Stake clerk, Stake Sunday school superintendent, and a member of the Nephi School board. Mr. Paxman is also interested in horticulture, and has a fine looking 10 acre apple orchard. Later this capacity two terms. he served as a member of the Eureka City council, and at the death of James B. Whitehead he was appointed to fill the unexpired term of sheriff. Following this he was elected to the office two years ago, and was last fall. Mr. Henroid is interested in the sheep business, in mining, and at the present time is in John S. Nielson, Commissioner.
