N All Residents Urged To Exhibit At Fair September 5 and 6 Meet Me At The Fair was the theme song when the World Fair was held in St. Louis . . but the invitation of Meet Me At the Fair is truly typical of the Juab County Fair which will be held here September 3 to 6 Judging will be done all four days, July 3, 4, 5 and 6. Exhibits will be on display Thursday and Friday, 5 and 6. All residents of Juab County expecting to enter exhibits are asked to check the official premium booklet for the times of entering the respective department exhibits. Sept-temb- er Premium booklets are being distributed this week. If you do not receive one, you are invited to contact the Extension Service office in the downstairs of the post office building, or call J. E. Worthington, fair board 623-179- 1. president, and A. Roy Bowles, fair manager, jointly urge all to display their work and to share new ideas with others. A fair is the gathering of the best products of the home; the outstanding produce of the garden and the field; the prize livestock; the summer projects of girls and boys, and more than that, the Juab County Fair is your fair their invitation sated. Entering the exhibits is not where the the fair stops. It is an educational 4-- H exhibit where you can increase your knowledge of the art of and homemaking, gardening, your understanding of what makes top livestock. Florence Kendall, supervisor of the clothing department states this department has been growing each year. There are many excellent junior and adult seamstresses In the county and their exhibits are invited. The premiums in this department are worth working for. Mrs. Clyde Shaw, supervisor of the art department reminds residents of the county that without their contributions to this department much interest, color, and beauty will be lost to visitors to the fair. This section attracts many viewers and causes them to linger and exclaim at the beauty of the exhibits and the outstanding abilities of Juab County residents. She invites everyone to exhibit in this de partment, especially students at school who have worked with wood, and those people who make a hobby of refinishing wood, and doing upholstery. Rampton will be special guest at the Juab County Governors Day to be held at the Nephi City Park on Saturday, August 31, according to an announcement this week by Ivol White, Juab County Democratic Chairman. Activities of the day will begin at 4:30 p.m. when all residents of the county are Invited to meet Governor Rampton. A smorgasbord Is planned between 6 and 7 p.m., and visiting with Governor Rampton and his party will continue until 8 p.m. In D. They resided In Hinckley, Utah until 1936 when they moved to NeIn 1952 they moved to phi. Salt Lake City. They have been engaged in the mercantile business throughout their married lives. They have operated stores in Hinckley, Nephi, Mt Pleasant, Provo and Salt Lake City. While In Nephi Mr. Pratt served as superintendent of the Juab Stake Y M M I A; was a member of the Juab Stake Sunday School Superintendency and is a past president of the Kiwanis Club of Nephi. Mrs. Pratt served as President of the Juab Stake Y W M I A, Juab Stake LDS Girls Committee was president of Chairman; the Juab Stake Relief Society and Is a past president of the Twentieth Century dub. Mr. and Mrs. Ihatt are parents of two sons: Glenn C. Pratt of Provo ; Dr. W. Howard Pratt of Tacoma, Washington; and two daughters: Mrs. McCa Ulster of Woodland Hills, California and Ned L.
