Granddaughters of Two Nephi Residents Honored At Goshen Celebration Riders representing the various riding clubs of District Five will be in Nephi Saturday for one of two district elimination meets. The Silver Sage Riders of will be host at the Nephi meet, being assisted by the Nephi Nebo Posse. Plans call for the events to begin at the Juab County Fairgrounds at 1 p. m., followed by a parade at 5 p. m., and an evening show immediately after the parade. The general public is encouraged to attend and to back the local riders in their various contests. A like show will 'be held at Pay-so- n on August 9rd, sponsored by the Arrowhead Riding Club of Benjamin. The Nephi Nebo Posse recently has been reorganized following resignation of Kempton Motes as president and Frank Pew as secretary. Bill Howard is the new president and Ronald Worwood is the new scretary. Don Barton retained the vice presidency. They were married July 5, 1907 in Nephi and have spent most of their lives here. Mrs. Bowers is the former Beryl Bigler. Mr. Bowers was born October 26, 1885 in Nephi, a son of Abraham James and Christina Sinclair Bowers. He served as manager for the Mountain States Telephone & Telegraph Company In Nephi for 10 years and later worked for the old Consolidated Wagon and Machine Company as a salesman and then was transferred to the company's store at Spanish Fork. The Bowers moved back to Nephi In 1933 where he became supervisor for the Works Progress administration.
