Funeral services were held for Mr. Memmott on Tuesday at the Ward chapel, with a Pol- icy Commission. Approximately 300 riders and their fine horses from South Central Utah will be in Nephi Saturday evening for the final night of elimination contests of the district meet, Nephi Riding club officers announced today. A parade of the horses and riding clubs will begin at 7 o'clock, and the main activities of the evening will begin at 8:00 p. m. when the grand entry will take place at the Fair Grounds rodeo arena. The Nephi Riding club came home from the first day's activities of the district meet with their share of winning honors. Wayne Rosequist's horse took the quarter mile race very easily, which lines him up to compete in the state First-Seco- The officials were sent copies a resolution against the report. The resolution was adopted unanimously by the clubs at a meeting Saturday in Loa. Among policy rcommendations made by the Policy Commission was one that congress set up "a separate river basin commission for each of the major basins . . . under the guidance of independent chairman appointed by the president. . . It said further the proposal of the President's Commission "contains the means by which broad economic, social and political powers are delegated to regional commissions responsible only to the President, which powers belong only to the people and ought to be exercised by them at their discretion through their elected representatives in the county, state and national government." Tom W. Jensen, field secretary of the civic clubs, presented the resolution in the absence of B. H. Stringham, chairman of the water development and irrigation com mittee.
