V. A. Beck was the chairman of the meeting. Mr. Beckwith has spent many years in gathering data pertaining to the early history of Utah, and especially of the Indian Legends and Indian Hieroglyphics. He has a number of very fine pictures showing various attractions of Milliard county, which includes the First Capitol of the Utah Territory, Old Cove Fort, the Craters west of Fillmore, and a number of pictures of Indians and Indian life. Mr. Beckwth recently returned from a trip to California where he delivered his talk and showed his pcitures to a number of interested audences in Los Angeles. In addition to Mr. Beckwith's address, a vocational guidance interview was given between Earl Steele a student of the Juab high school and Dr. L. C. Warenskl. Utah Federaof Women's CIulis, will hold their annual convention in Nephi on Saturday, March 21, at the South ward chapel, Mrs. A. L. Garbett announced today. The theme of the convention will be "Woman's Place in National Defense." Mrs. Leslie Cornaby of Spanish Fork, district president, will preside at the meetings which will be held at 10 A. M. and 2 P. M. The district now has a membership of 37 clubs, with clubs In all cities from Lehi to Nephi. The club membership has Increased from 19 clubs to 37 during the administration of Mrs. Cornaby. The first meeting of the conven tion will be hold at 9:15, which will be a board meeting for officers and department chairmen of the first district. Following the first ceneral ses sion, which will convene at 10 A. M. a departmental session will be held at 11:15, with the following de partments being presided over by district cnalrmen.
