The purpose of the annual entertainment is to raise funds with which to purchase an instrument to add to the Juab high school band. Last year one of the best entertainments of the season was presented, and the instrument was purchased from the proceeds. Each new instrument adds more color to the band, and gives the band better performance in the regional and national musical festivals in which it is entered, thereby bringing additional advertising and prestige to Nephi. Each person In Nephi receives, either directly or indirectly, some benefit from the Juab high school band, and it is their privilege to support them with the purchase of a ticket on this occasion. The entertainment will begin at 8:00 P. M. Friday evening, &nd by 7:30 P. M. the auditorium is apt to be completely filled up with Nephi band boosters who want to see a glorious entertainment for a quarter. See the advertisement in this issue for additional information. They desire to hear more views from more people before definite action is taken. It is planned, if the hall be constructed, that it will be leased to an individual for operation. Anderson and Mabel Fascolas, vocal solo, Clarence Gowers; and closing selection by the quartet composed of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Barnes, Clarence H. Warner and Mrs. Da- Veda Davis. Attorney Named Party Head for Second Term Jensen Named Head of Republican County Committee Lillian Foote Boswell .Former Nephi Lady, Died at Richfield Sat. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon in the North Ward chapel for Lillian Foote Boswell, 39, who died in the Sevier valley hospital at Richfield Saturday. She was the wife of Ole Boswell, manager of the Beaver Ex change of the M. S. T. & T. Co. Speakers were Bishop Alma C. Tranter of the Nephi ward. Dr. E. S. McQuarrie of Beaver, Grant lolton of Beaver and the closing remarks by Robert P. Garrett of the North ward bishopric. Musical numbers included a voc al solo by Mrs. Emma C. Cannon, vocal duet, L. P. Anderson and Mabel Fascolas and a vocal solo by Clarence Gowers.. The opening prayer was offered by J. E. Lunt, and the benedicton pronounced by Bishop C. H. Grace. The grave in the Vine Bluff ceme tery was dedicated by President A. H. Belliston. A large number of Beaver people were in attendance at thee services, showing the high esteem in which Mr. and Mrs. Boswell are held in that community. Mrs. Boswell was born in Nephi February 17, 1901 the daughter of William and Caroline Pitt Foote. She spent the majority of her life in Nephi, moving to Beaver some years ago. Survivors include her husband. and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Leah Evans, Chester and Clarence Foote, Nephi, Mrs. Ruth Wilkinson, Salt Lake City, Bryne Foote, Beady, Nevada and Ralph Foote, Provo.
