Miss Mary Wood Hiuman, Recrea tional Director of the Hinman School of Dancing, Chicago will visit Juab County on February 14, 15, 16 and will conduct a Recreational Institute at Levan on the days named. Miss Hinman has conducted recreational work at the summer schools ot the Agricultural College for the past three summers and has been especially attracted to the people ot Utah by the way they have conduct ed themselves at the Annual Farmers' Encampment which has been held at Logan the past few years. She likes the way the Utah people take to dancing and games and it Is for the purpose of getting better acquainted with the state and the working out of an educational project that she has been engaged by the Extension Service to hold these institutes thorughout Utah. The work in cooperation is 'being conducted with the Levan M. I. A. Classes will be held in the Levan Recreational Hall for three hours during each afternoon and evening of the days mentioned. The first hour will be devoted to Children's Recreational problems. The next hour to Adult dancing of folk dances, etc. The third hour will be devoted to the teaching ot Clog Dancing. Rep resentative of Red Cross Here A meeting of the Nephi Red Cross Chapter was held Thursday evening at the City Hall, the meeting being called on account of the vlait of Miss Margaret Bullen, field representative of the Pacific Coast Division of the National Red Cross. The members present discussed projects to be taken up by the Chapter during the current year, and It was decided to sponsor the employment of a health nurse for two months period during the next school year. The following were appointed as a committee to handle this project: Mrs. Itha Parkes, Chairman, SupeOwen L. Barnett, Mrs. rintendent Ernest Brough, Mrs. George Belliston J. L. Belliston. A nominaUng committee to select candidates for officers and directors of the Chapter was also appointed. This committee consisted of Geo. A. Sperry, Mrs. C. W. Morgan and Mrs. Alfred Orme. to Thig committee was instructed Mrs. choose nominees for the various offcies and report at a meeting called for Friday February 8, at 7:30 p .m. at the City Hall. The financial report of the treasurer wll also be made at this time. The league was organized in 1928 and from all reports was very successful, and no doubt will continue in operation during the coming season. Teachers Join the National Ass'n rs Ex-Servi- A fire destroyed practically all of the wearing apparel, and household furniture belonging to Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Nelson Tuesday morning, and also did considerable damage to the home which belongs to J. W. Carver. Mr. Nelson was also burned quite badly on one arm, and on one ankle. Mr. Nelson was making a fire In the range, and was using kerosene, when in some manner the kerosene in the can caught afire, the flames soon spreading all over the kitchen and into the adjoining room. Some very striking information has been gathered at the Dairy Experiment farm of the Agricultural College relative to what cows can be expected to do when carefully and intelligently fed on such foods as are commonly found, or are easily provided, in most Utah farms. To disseminate this and other valuable Information on the feeding and handling of dairy cows, disease, control etc. a Dairy Feeder's School will be held at the Agricultural College under the direction ot the Dairy Husbandry Department, February 26 to tending this school to get the latest information on feeding and dairy herd Improvement. On March 2nd the annual Holstein Salt will be held when a choice lot of Cache County's young dairy stock will be offered for sale. At One O'clock Four Tractor Companies to Give Instructions at The Armory Hall Feb. 12th, 13th, 14th and 15th. The Nephi High School lg sponsoring a four day tractor school to be held at the Armory next Tuesday, Wednesday. Thursday and Friday, February 12, 13. 14 and 15, which will be free of charge to the men and boys of this district. School will begin at 1 p. m. each day. Arrangements are being made for educational pictures to be shown at the Venice Theatre following the regular class work. The school wUI be In charge of A. J. Crapo, Instructor Industrial Education, and Harry Beagley, Supervisor Vocational Agriculture. An invitation Is extended to all the men and boys of this dstrlct to partici pate In the school, and the admission is free of charge. Sunday, Roy Nielson, Walt Anderson, Edgar Park and Floran Ingram, brought in a kitten which measured 5 feet four inches from tip to tip, and Tuesday they brought in another kitten, the same size. They U3ed the dogs to capture these animals. The hunting of mountain lions is real sport, and is very beneficial to rid the range of these animals, as they kill a number of young deer, elk calves and other animals. The lions were captured in the area between Salt Creek canyon and Gardner's canyon, and the hunters report more of these animals in that area but they were unable to get them.
