Mc-Cu- ne At a meeting of the Board of Education of Juab School District held Tuesday evening, the action taken by the Board several months ago relative to the certification of teachers in Juab School District was again con firmed at this meeting and the Superintendent was ordered to have this ruling strictly enforced. During the war when teachers were scarce on account of abnormal labor conditions, the bars were let down in almost every district In Utah and hundreds of teachers were em ployed without any certificate of their fitness from the State Supt of Public Instruction. With the return to normal condtions, the State Board have emphasized the need of all teach ers being certificated in order to raise the standard of teaching and education in Utah, and to this end have taken the question up with the local Board of Education here, hence the present action to enforce this ruling which is now being taken. The Board authorized the school at Mills, to be again opened, and ap pointed Miss Lillian Lunt as teacher. Miss Eva Winn, was given a pos ition as school teacher in the grade schools of this city. It was ordered.by the Board that no child will be admitted to the schools of the district who has not arrived at the age of six years by TIMES-NEW- S Clty,v-ao,uj..uu- nt Mic-mtnr- i WAS BIG SUCCESS ,rir 'ai ..: fr.
