H H The Strawberry .water ccsimlttae has compared the report made by the Board of Engineers appointed to the report previously made by J. LLytle, Project Engineer of the Strawberry Reservoir project of estimated cost of bringing water from the Strawberry reservoir, and other sources into East Juab County, and find .. ck as follows: That the Board of Engineers have increased making such the estimated cost of such undertaking from the former maximum estimate of $5,000,000.00 for the 40 thousand acre feet of water available to a new estimate of $7,500,000.00 for 1. uratAi nn Increase )f $62.50 per acre foot. 2. The .Board making such have expressed the opinion that the project is not feasible and .have recommended that no further expenditures be made by the United States Reclamation service either of public of private funds. 3. Since the ,encouragement given, the committee by the Reclamation service at' Washington was based on the condition of the original estimate of $5,000,000.00 would prove on a by the Special Board of Engineers to be approximately correct, and such, has indicated that be 50 per the probable cent over the former estimate, there seems to be no way of prosecuting the matter further before the department, and the committee is Inclined therefore to consider the matter. After a few remarks by Mr. Sperry, relative to the election of new officers a motion was made that the old officers be together with the Board of Directors, which carried unanimously. Dr. N. J. Rees, who acted as manager last season tendered his resignation on account of stress of business, which was accepted by the Board of Directors with' a vote of thanks for hia past services. Mr. Haymond, also resigned from the position of secretary of the association,' on account of other work, but he wap finally prevailed upon by the Board to serve for another year, and a vote of thanks was tendered him for the services he has given the association the past season. , The question of securing a pitcher was then taken up by the Board and it was the. feeling of those present that a good man be signed up as soon as possible.
