Some years, in Mona, Nephi and Levan he has made certain as many as 180 children, in one year, received a good Christmas. Not only did the service assist children but made parents happy that their children could receive the gifts of their hearts and warm clothing and needed supplies, in addition. He has made certain that children would have a bright Christmas in what, otherwise, might have been a bleak time, said Brough. Brough said that Morgans From page 1 Quake - had lived the past 30 or so years in Nephi. During that time, Morgan was always willing to do things to improve the quality of life for residents. I dont know how many committees he has worked on but it has been a great number, said Brough. He and his wife attend sports events and support the youth of the area in many ways. He was never one to just sit on the sidelines but was always working to help in whatever way he could, said Brough. We sometimes have to pull sneaky strings to get people to come to council meeting to get an award, said Brough. Such was the case with Morgan, who Brough suspected, would not have attended if he had known he was receiving and award. But every once in a while, as a council, we have the opportunity to present a plaque to someone who deserves to know that what they are doing is appreciated, said Brough. That scheme is part of a plan to make recreation in the city more available for more people and more interests. However, the council is still willing to consider naming a person to the proposed full-tim- e long-rang- e East Juab Physical Fitness Association. When the board operated before, it was too large, said Chad Brough, mayor. The attempt was made to get every walk of life represented on that board and there ended up being 10 members. In addition, many of those on the board represented a particular viewpoint and i't was difficult to get consensus. The association functioned as a volunteer and non-prof- it group. In fact, the group has been leasing the Old Gym Recreation Center from Nephi. Now, Neal Menlove, who was the head of the group when it was active several years ago, would like each of the entities in East Juab County to nominate a board of directors to start up a new association. ing Neil Cook, commissioner, to sit on the board. However, Nephi City Council members were shy of making that firm a commitment without first considering all the ramifications and delayed making a decision on who to appoint--resident or a member of a the council-un- til they had further information. If the city were to hire a recreation director, asked Brough, would the board be helpful or would it be better to wait? full-tim- e Randy McKnight, city administrator, said he thought that was what Menlove was thinking about it seeking a recreation to board. I think he wants that group to do some of the brainstorming,1' said McKnight. He said that the recreation director the council met with last year had told council members he had a board with members from each of the communities which benefited from the program. In addition, said Kent Park, council member who will be replaced in January, it would be wise to have a survey taken of the citizens See Recreation on page 3 The Place To Watch A Movie Stadium Seating THX Sound Exit 252 Payson Utah 633 South 950 West Movie Schedule - Jan. 2nd - Jan. 5th ZV KAPERJBJHIPOZE TTISF" 41:15) (12:45) seseesesee: ECLORDPELTHERlNGSaTHE RETURN ORTHE KINCsPG13 4l2;dU) QNA LISA SMILEHPG1 (12:55) 4:10 41:05) SOMETH 449:35)) I N7T5TKOTTAT5I 3:95 (I:00 VE(n k.
