The committee had compiled 218 pages of some old, but mostly new ordinances. They planned to have the town council adopt them at the town council meeting directly after the special seesionpublic hearing. About a dozen citizens attended the meeting and voiced frustration over the lack of adequate information as to the purpoee of the meeting. Jack Powers, chair of the Levan P&Z committee, stated the committee was in full compliance of stats law concerning public meetings. Citizens still complained the public notices were lata in coming and vagus as to the content of the meeting. Some found themselves unable to acquire information pertaining to the ordinances to be discussed. liiytf Robeson Stated that Correspondent s Nephi City Council members are considering a truck parking ordinance to help prevent the premature aging of city streets. A public information meeting will be held on May 4 at 6:30 p.m., prior to a regularly scheduled council meeting, to take public comment on the proposed ordinance. The council has determined that they would like to take public comment prior to acting on the proposal, said Chad Brough, mayor. A public hearing is not required by law but council members are interested in hearing what the residents of Nephi think about the ordinance before they vote on it.
