Students of senior and junior high grades were required to write an essay on the life and character of Washington. Miss Mildred Stephenson, Nephl a junior and Ivy Seamons, Mo na, a senior, won second and third places, respectively. The three winning essays will be entered in the Juab district contest and the one awarded first place will compete In the state contest at Salt Lake City. First place winner In the state will in turn compete for National honors. The essays will be Judged by the United States George Wash Commission ingfon at Washington, D. C.
