The Tabernacle was filled to capacity and the floral offerings were beautiful and profuse. Elder David O. McKay, of the Council of the Twelve, represented the general authorities, and was one of the principal speakers. Other speakers were: John E. Lunt of the high council.; Morris H. Ellison, representative of the Legislature from Lay ton: President Albert H. Bellis-to- n, of the Juab Stake presidency: reading of a resolution passed by the Nephi Kiwanls club by Kiwanian William Bailey. Reading of a resolution made by a committee appointed by Judge LeRoy Cox of the fifth district court, by Attorney Will L. Hoyt; closing remarks by Bishop Thomas ' Bailey. Music for the occasion was as follows: Vocal solo, Mrs. Mabel Lunt; Vocal solo. Ralph Barnes; Vocal selection by a double mixed quartet composed of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Barnes, Mr. and Mrs. T. D. District Chairman Nephi To Raise Money For Utah Flood Relief President Harry Beagley of the local chapter of the American Red Cross has Just received word from tha San Francisco headquarters notifying him that the Nephi territory has been called upon to raise $150 for the Utah Flood Relief fund. Mr. Beagley states that meeting of the officers of the local chapter will be held Friday evening, and devise ways and means to raise the allotted amount. Ord. -- The Nephi Poultry association have selected a site for the new poultry plant which will be constructed here this fall, according to C, H. Grace, president of the association. The site selected is located on second north and third west, on the Ord property. They have purchased a lot 214x100 feet, the 214 feet abutting on third west street, next to the Union Pacific railroad tracks. Mr. Grace is very enthusiastic about the site, and he stated that the board was very pleased with the location, and they expect to beautify the grounds around the building, when it is completed. He also stated that Clyde C. Edmunds of the Utah Poultry Producers Association, would be in Nephi in" the very near future and would assist in selecting the proper type building for the grading plant, and if he can spend an evening in ephi, the local association will hold an evening meeting. The association now has sixty- two paid up members, and one hun- dred and fifty poultrymen who have signed pledges to support the new grading plant. The above number indicates very forcibly that the poultrymen of this part of the state are for a grading plant in Nephl.
