The only disappointing feature of tae show was the poor attend ance, and in view of the game that Was staged it was really a shame that better support was not given. The home team has now won four straight games, each being thrilling exhibitions,; and if this kind of showing does not merit the biggest kind of support, then this city will have to take a back seat as far as baseball is con- cerned. The game was one of the fastest and cleanest ever seen in these parts, and Spanish Fork was blanked, the score being 4 to 0 in our favor. Lef ty Keough, was in maguilicient form and "never., allowed the Fprkers a ghost w a chance, added to this was 4 J ' ' . ' ting of the team, and you have the whole story of the game. The visitors started strong with a two base hit by Thomas, the first ' to bat, but fast fielding by I. M. and Briant Petty, prevented them from scoring. The next best chance Spanish had for rmg came' in "the sixth innings, with a man on second and two down and McBeth at bat. He was caught out by McCune. Nephi made three runs In the fifth and one in the sixth. In the fifth frame Jones came to the bat and was out on a difficult foul fly, to L. Bowen. Lunt singled and was forced to second by Keough McCune singled advancing Keough to second. Park who had a perfect day at the bat then sent out a two bagger scoring Keough and McCune ed to third. A single by Tuttle scored McCune and Park. The rally was stopped by Tuttle being put out at -. second. In th sixth Inning B. Petty singled and Reid struck out. I. M. Petty hif scoring B. Petty. Side was retired by a double paly Rowe to George. In the eighth Nephl looked dangerous wfren both Park and Tuttle singled. Simmons showed excellent form at this stage of the game by striking out the next three men at the bat. Umpire Beck, Scorer, J. N. C. Pex. ton. - coin. CONFERENCE AUG. 14th.
