The sym pathy of the entire community goes out to the family in their bereavement. Speakers at the funeral were Ray Newton, N. W Ellertson, Bishop Garfield and John S. Neilson, all of H. James whom spoke feelingly. Newton offered the opening prayer and Eph Ellertson the closing prayer. The choir sang the opening and closing numbers, while L P. Anderson sang two' solos with piano and violin accompaniment, and Miss Viv ian Peterson sang two solos. Interment was in the Mona Cemetery. The young man is survived by his parents, three sisters, Mrs. Patrick Syndergaard and Mrs. Evan Neilson, of ML Pleasant and Cora Kay of Mona, also two brothers, Archie and Albert Kay of Mona, The case of John L. Ellertson, Horace A. Green, charging the latter with assault and battery occupied the time of Justice Cooper's court Monday. Both men are long time residents of Mona and well in years. According to the opening statement of County Attorney Will L. Hoyt, the trouble grew out of a settlement over some sheep accounts, in which the lie was pas sed by both parties. Ellertson, who is the older man claimed that Green was the aggressor while Green claim ed that Ellertson was the first to show signs of fight. The evidence brought out the fact that the finger of Green got into the mouth of Ellertson and was considerably chewed up before it was re leased, while Ellertson's face presen. ted a bloody appearance according to the testimony. The case was tried before a jury composed of the following citizens: Samuel D. Broadhead, Israel Bale, Stephen Boswell, and W. H. Brown. After hearing the evidence the jury brought in a verdict of not guilty and Mr. Green was discharged. was Attorney J. H.
